Mrs EMM Coetzee (better known as Litta), was permanently employed by the University of Pretoria from 1 Junie 1985, initially as Secretary in Public Relations. From 1 January 1987 until her retirement on 1 July 1989 she served in the Rectorate as Secretary to the then Vice-Principal, Prof Theuns Erasmus.

Litta was known for her extremely professional, dedicated service and confidential execution of her tasks. She was a committed and loyal member of staff and was loved by her colleagues. Friendships endured after her retirement. Her sudden passing is mourned by her son, Wynand, friends and family.

There are no funeral arrangements since a private cremation has already taken place. Friends and family will bid her farewell on 13 June 2015 in Stellenbosch.
