Prof Jenny Hoobler of the Department Human Resource Management received the Best Paper Proceeding Award for the 75th Academy of Management conference, to be held in Vancouver, Canada in August 2015.
Her paper, entitled ‘Abusive supervision, justice, power distance, and employee deviance: A
meta-analysis’, has been reviewed and named by the panel of reviewers as one of the best accepted papers in the programme. This high honour entitles her paper to be published in the proceedings of the 2015 Academy of Management Meeting.
The Academy of Management is the preeminent professional association for management and organisation scholars with nearly 20 000 members spanning 115 countries. The theme of the 2015 conference, ‘Opening Governance’, invites members to consider opportunities to improve the effectiveness and creativity of organisations by restructuring systems at the highest organizational levels.
