SAICA’s national APC Exam Results - UP students excel again!

Posted on March 12, 2015

UPs former Chartered Accountancy students excelled in the first Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) exams of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) with outstanding results. Nationally, UP ranked in the second position, with 192 successful candidates and a 94% pass rate.

The APC exam, which is the final written assessment to qualify as a chartered accountant after completing 20 months of the compulsory 36 month practical training period, was written by 2 050 candidates.  UP delivered three of the 10 candidates on the honours roll. Congratulations to Ms Aneesa Carrim, Ms Angie Horrel and Ms Sue-Anne Symons for their outstanding performances.  The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences is extremely proud of these alumni.  We wish these prospective chartered accountants all the best with their future careers.
