Power supply interruption: Onderstepoort Campus

Buildings affected: Anatomy Building, Old Faculty Building, OTAU Stable Complex, Equine Research Centre, Poultry Experimental Facilities, Production Animal Studies Building, Paraclinical Building (including UP Biomedical Research Centre Building (UPBRC), Deputy Dean: Research, Postgraduate Studies and Internationalisation, Education Innovation, Bacteriology Laboratory Complex

Date and time: Saturday, 28 February 2015; 10:00–to 14:00
Duration: four (4) hours

Please take note of a planned interruption of the power supply to the buildings referred to above.

The interruption is due to essential maintenance that has to be done on the automatic change-over breakers that supply power to the above-mentioned buildings. Maintenance will be carried out on eight ATS breakers, and each process will take about one hour.

Four of the breakers are on the load side of the buildings which means that certain areas supplied by the breakers will experience a one-hour power interruption any time between 10:00 and 14:00.

There will be no standby power while maintenance is being carried out.

We kindly request all concerned to switch off sensitive electronic equipment timeously and to disconnect power leads from wall outlets.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
