Buildings affected: All buildings on the South Campus and Hatfield Campus, including the ladies’ residences

Please take note of a planned interruption of the water supply to the buildings and areas referred to above.

The interruption is owing to pressure tests and main water supply connection point tests that will be done by the municipality. The interruption is planned for Tuesday 9 December 2014 from 08:00 to 16:00.

We kindly request all personnel to fill available containers with water prior to the interruption in order to supplement drinking and washing water. Personnel and students are requested to use water sparingly in buildings that have water reservoir tanks.

All persons are also requested not to leave taps opened during the interruption, as this may cause flooding and damage once the main water supply has been restored.
