The correct application of the brand of the University of Pretoria is extremely important especially for the UP who would like to be recognized for its excellence locally and internationally. Without hesitation branding is the tool that portrays the positive public image of the institution. It is for this reason that we urge everyone to rally behind the corporate image of the UP.
Besides branding issues, the new multimedia programme was demonstrated to the marketers. This tool is very effective in explaining the UP as a whole and can be used in presentations. Faculty marketers who supported the brand throughout the year and who won prizes are: Henda van Schalkwyk (overall winner). The runners up were Wallace Isaacs and the CSC team, Sonja van der Waldt of EMS, Linda du Preez, Emly Mathe and Erna Gerryts of EBIT. Marie Venter and Phindi Nkosi from the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences won a special award for sustainable value added to the brand over the last two years.
