This private sector sponsored event is organised under the auspices of the Suid-Afrikaanse Akademie vir Wetenskap en Kuns, in collaboration with the Academy of Information Technology (UJ). This year 27 participants from eight higher education institutions in South Africa will present their papers/posters. The preliminary programme is attached.

It is one of a few symposiums of this kind in South Africa and in line with the world wide trend to share research and network across borders of strictly defined disciplines. The symposium commences with presentations on patenting by experts from two leading firms, namely DM Kisch and Adams & Adams.
