The following swimmers are in action at the meet (countries in brackets):
Roland Schoeman (Multiple Olympic medalist & World Record holder - South Africa),
Gerhard Zandberg (Multiple World Championship medal winner - South Africa),
Karin Prinsloo (Multiple National title holder - South Africa),
Vanessa Mohr (16 year old national champion - South Africa),
Darren Murray (1st year BSport Science Student @ UP - South Africa),
Quinton Delie (1st Year BCom Student at UP, Youth Olympian - Namibia),

So over the first 1 and a half days of racing we have seen these swimmers in action already and we look forward to watching them perform as the meet continues.
The following is the highlight performances so far:
Roland Schoeman - Semi final 50m Butterfly. Narrowly missing out on the final;
Vanessa Mohr - won the swim off for the first reserve for the semi final for the 100m Butterfly. What makes this achievement special is that at the age of 16 at her first Senior World Championships she swam a time of 58.66 sec, thus coming in under the London 2012 A qualifying time for next years Olympics, as required by SASCOC;
Karin Prinsloo - made the semi final for the 100m Backstroke this morning and will be racing it today Monday from around 12:00 SA time. We hold thumbs for her;
Quinton Delie - swam a new Namibian national record in the 200m freestyle event, coming in under the record set in 1996.
All in all we are very excited by our TuksSwimmers being in Shanghai and looking forward to them cementing their performances over the next 6 days.
