The Academy elects additional members each year. The University of Pretoria now has 36 ASSAf members and Prof Robin Crewe is the current President of the Academy.
The new UP members are:
Professor Nigel Charles Bennett
Professor Jean M-S Lubuma
Professor Prof. Xiaohua Xia
Membership of the Academy is a great honour and the inclusion of these new Members bears testimony to their scholarship and contributions to scientific endeavours in our country, says Prof. Roseanne Diab, Executive Officer of ASSAf.
