New President of the International Association of Oral Pathologists (IAOP)

Prof Willie van Heerden, Chief Specialist and Head of the Department of Oral Pathology and Oral Biology in the School of Dentistry, has been elected as the new President of the International Association of Oral Pathologists (IAOP) at their recent meeting in Seoul, Korea. Prof Sonja Boy, principal specialist in the same Department, has been elected to represent Africa on the Council of the IAOP. Having two members on the Council of the International Association is indeed an honour for the Department of Oral Pathology and Oral Biology and the University of Pretoria.
