International workshop on capture-mark-recapture (CMR) techniques

This workshop, organised by Drs. Nico de Bruyn and Simon Elwen, will be presented by Dr Trent McDonald of WEST Inc, USA. Wildlife biologists from across the Southern African sub-region will enjoy the benefit of having exposure to the theory and practical sides of this widely used research technique, on home soil.  

Dr McDonald is a leading researcher, author and practitioner of mark-recapture theory applied to populations of wild animals. A relevant program-R course presented by Dr. Mark Robertson will augment this workshop.

The MRI is proud to host such an accomplished scientist in South Africa, and assisting with the development of local scientists and wildlife practitioners.
