May. In that week, the alumni will be able to re-live their Tukkie memories.
In the last 100 years, staff and students passed through the lecture halls, residences, laboratories and corridors of the University of Pretoria. Most still treasure their fond memories of campus life. Now is the time to re-live those fading memories once again by attending the Alumni Homecoming function. The Alumni Homecoming week specifically aims to bring Alumni back to their Alma Mater.
During the Homecoming Week, the alumni will be able to meet up with old buddies at reunions, visit the UP museums and an art exhibition or stand astonished about the modern day campus during a campus tour. The University has also lined up activities for the alumni such as:
- Semi-formal Dinner Dance.
- Faculty visits
- Alumni Light Music Concert.
- Alumni Opera Gala.
- Alumni Lunch with the Vice-Chancellor and Principal.
- Group meetings.
- UP Camerata choral performances.
- Golf Championship.
