Engineering students have fun helping kids have fun

All students in the EBIT Faculty have to take a Community-based Project Module as part of the faculty’s commitment to teach its students to use their skills to the betterment of society. Among other things, the students have to work at least 40 hours in a disadvantaged community of their choice. The students have a limited budget and must find sponsors for their project.

This year, one of the groups designed playground equipment, built the sets and erected it at the N’Wa Vangani Primary School in Mamelodi.

“Our little ones were over the moon with their new junglegyms,” says Mr Henry Tshabalala, principal of N’Wa Vangani Primary School.
