Tuks judoka heads for the London 2012 Olympics

Posted on February 08, 2012

Ranked 29th in the world and first in the country, this former KJK Durban Deep Dojo student, may very well turn out to be South Africa’s most successful judoka ever. Not only because he produced outstanding results in the sport in the past, he also won the gold medal at the Senior African Championships held in Dakar, Senegal, in April 2011. This meant he became the second South African male ever to do so.

Having qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games, his goal is to win a medal for his country. He believes he can be a role model for all judokas in South Africa, as well as placing SA judo on the international judo map.
