Klaradyn & Luminous make a digital impression

Posted on November 10, 2011

Klaradyn and Luminous won the website awards in a fiercely contested competition ran by the UP Web Office in October.

The finalists in the competition were:
Residences: Olienhout, Boekenhout, Kiaat, Klaradyn, Tuks Village
Day Houses: Luminous, Vividus Ladies, Vividus Men, Zeus

The winner was selected in an online competition where UP students could vote for their favourite of the finalists in the two categories. The competition was initially launched after a university-wide training session with all residence, day houses and faculty house webmasters.

The competition was extremely tough! But the HK members responsible accepted the challenge and we are proud of the progress that has been made on the websites. Keep it up!

Jeandri Cloete is the webmaster behind Klaradyn's website and is doing an outstanding job with her residence site. The site always carries interesting news & events, updated information and a good gallery where one can see what the girls have been up to. The standards are high and this is definitely a site you want to visit.

Benjamin Oberholzer is the webmaster of Luminous and, as part of a new day house, he decided not to sit back and be intimidated by the established houses. He created a site that his day house can be proud of. Well done to the new kid on the block.

Jeandri & Benjamin were both rewarded with a 4G Memory stick and a R200.00 shopping voucher for all their effort and hard work.
