Lead by acclaimed photographer and lecturer at Vega, Martin Short, students learnt not only how to operate their cameras, but also how to use a tripod, light and shutter speeds. The first assignment, focusing on night photography, must be handed in at the UP Archives (Old Arts building room 1-22) no later than 11 March 2011. With prizes worth R43 000, would-be professional photographers are encouraged to put all of Martin Short’s advise and their own creativity into the project.
