Before handing over the laptop, Eduloan’s Chief Executive Officer Johan Wasserfall, said his institution has always been passionate about ensuring that every deserving person achieves an education. He congratulated the recipient of the award also acknowledged the long-term relationship which has blossomed between Eduloan and the University of Pretoria for the past ten years.
The Vice-Chancellor and Principal Professor Cheryl de la Rey commended Eduloan for contributing to education in this country. She also thanked Eduloan for the award and praised Olorato for her dedication and hard work. “An award to one student makes a difference and I believe that Olorato will make a large contribution in this country, and that would promote reputation for the University of Pretoria”, said Prof de la Rey.
The Faculty Dean of Economic and Management Sciences Prof Caroline Koornhof also thanked Eduloan for the valued relationship it has with University of Pretoria and also for continuing to make many students’ dreams a reality. She described Olorato as a hard working and dedicated student who deserved such an award. She also mentioned during the award that Olorato has received a bursary from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).
Olorato Gadinabokao, an aspirant future economist, was also excited by the gesture and thanked the sponsors of the gift. “I am very excited about the award and it could not have come at a better time. It will help me a lot with my studies “, said Gadinabokao
