“There is no truth in media reports that Tuks Wrestling wants Van Heerden back. There will be no ties between Van Heerden and the university,” director of Tuks Sport, Kobus van der Walt said today.
Last week, Mr Van Heerden was sentenced to five years imprisonment in the Pretoria Regional Court due to the possession of child pornography. His sentence was wholly suspended for five years. According to media reports, Van Heerden’s name will be included in the register for sex offenders.
