The PMR.Africa conducted its annual survey on the Pretoria/Tshwane municipal district with an objective of profiling it as a growth point and potential investment area for foreign and local developers and investors. The University of Pretoria was nominated and rated over the past 12 months with other institutions of higher learning in the district, and was found to demonstrate exceptional managerial and corporate governance qualities during the same period.

The Chief Executive Officer of the PMR.Africa, Johan Hattingh, said the award given to the University of Pretoria is indicative of its competitiveness, effectiveness, and excellence and it should be utilised “not as a marketing tool only, but also to thank the personnel and staff for creating the perception and reality out there that the University of Pretoria is an undisputed leader within the academic field”.
