Bursary holders train Botswana novices

Posted on September 28, 2009

The TuksSport bursary contract includes a six hour social involvement clause and inviting this group of youngsters to come and experience squash Tuks fitted the bill perfectly.

Their enthusiasm and energy levels were inspiring, their skills levels amazing considering that they are practicing in groups of up to 10 players per court, share rackets and have to walk up to 5km to get to the courts in Gaberone.

This was the second opportunity the bursary holders had to give back to the game. Northerns Squash Association organised a Satellite event where young players from Mamelodi, Potchefstroom, Boksburg and Johannesburg were invited to a day of coaching.

Led by Emmanuel Musefwe, the bursary holders did Tuks proud by helping and playing with the group.

Giving back to our sport is of prime importance.
