According to the TuksSquash Head Coach, Liz Mackenzie, Cheyna has made remarkable progress this year as she has adapted to student life (Cheyna is 1st Year B Sport Science) as well as the tough and tiring training schedule of the Academy programme.

The whole programme has been an adjustment for Cheyna who has never worked on a skills based programme before, but who maintained her junior ranking simply by playing in tournaments.

Considering most squash player peak at the age of about 24, Cheyna is way ahead of the rest — having being selected 2 days short of her 20th birthday is a fantastic achievement for this young star.

Cheyna is a member of the TuksSquash Academy programme and hopes to play in at least two WISPA (professional tour) events on her way to worlds.
