Tuks new Carlton Cup log leaders

Tuks are in first place with 22 log points, followed by Naka Bulle and Police, both on 20. Unbeaten Naka however takes second spot because of their better point difference (64-49).

Tuks had a field day against Harlequins, scoring nine tries to none. In the first half Harlequins still managed to hold their own to a certain extend (22-9), but in die last 40 minutes Tuks went on the rampage, amassing another 42 points.

Stanley Twiname was the biggest thorn in Halequins’ flesh, scoring 24 points (try, 8 conversions, penalty goal). He has all to potential to become a great flyhalf.

Tuks’ other points were all scored through tries: 4 by fullback Fanie Booysen and one each by Franco Booysen (centre), Pieter Gothan (left wing), Quinten Skewes (flank) and Johan de Bruin (lock and captain).

With the exception of Tuks-Fezelas u.21 all the other teams registered wins in their league matches.

Carlton II: Fezelas bt Harlequins 33-15; Carlton III: Tuks-Pumas bt Harlequins 31-18; Carlton IV: Tuks-Renegades bt Naka Bulle 52-0; u.21A: Tuks-Jongspan bt Harlequins 55-18; Tuks u.21A bt Centurion 17-15; Silver Valke bt Tuks-Fezelas u.21 29-14; u.19A: Tuks u.19A bt Harlequins 60-0; Tuks u.19B win by default against Silver Valke.
