It is Tuks’ last match before the ‘real’ Carlton League commences on 12 June and one they will have to win in order to keep their noses in front on the log. Tuks are still in first place after their uninspiring win against Silver Valke last week (21-13), but Centurion has a game in hand and will not be bothered by being in second spot at the moment, trailing Tuks by only three points.
Centurion is sure to take full points from their last match in knock-out phase. They play bottom placed Brits at home on 5 June.
Tuks had every chance to score a fourth try for a bonus point in their match against Silver Valke, but wasted too many scoring opportunities through poor finishing and decision making.
Tuks’ tries were scored by Frik Kirsten, Gertjie Smith and Marius Weber. Smith added two penalties.
• Other results:
2nd league: Fezelas 16, Silver Valke 9; 3rd league: Tuks Pumas 40, Silver Valke 0 (win by default); o.21: Tuks Jongspan 144, Silver Valke 0.
