Mostert is a very gifted and valuable player and it is understandable that Tuks will rest uneasy at the mere thought of him missing out on not only the match against Centurion on 31 July, but also the semi-finals on 7 August.
Tuks coach Nollis Marais said after the 40-35 defeat against TUT that the management team will first want to study the incident and the circumstances leading to it before making any detailed comments.
“We do have a recording of the match and will use in the preparation of Franco’s defence. It goes without saying that it will be a big setback if Franco gets suspended,” added Marais.
If found guilty of head butting, Mostert can face a ban of up to four weeks.
