Franco gets suspended sentence

Franco was red carded in the 70th minute by referee Jimmy Kruger.

After watching the video clip of the incident that led to Franco’s sending off and hearing legal argument from Advocate Gert Andries van der Merwe, a Tuks 1 player it was decided to enter a guilty plea.

Franco was subsequently found guilty and suspended for two weeks. The sentence itself was however suspended for two weeks as it was the first red card shown to Franco in his playing career.

Franco was therefore included in the Tuks 1 starting line-up for its last second round match against Centurion on Saturday.
