As it turned out, Tuks’ 16-16 draw with Centurion yesterday paved the way for Silver Valke to qualify for the semi-finals for the first time ever. They lost to TUT (second on the log with 20 points), but finishing on 16 was still enough for the Silverton franchise to beat 2009 semi-finalists Centurion to fourth place.
Defending champions Police ended third (19 points) after beating Naka Bulle 30-21. Bobbies will play TUT on Saturday, a repeat of last year when they also crossed swords in the semi-finals.
