The trip will no doubt have Nici (affectionately known as everyone's favourite farm girl) striving to cement her place in new coach, Giles Bonnet’s, plans for the upcoming Commonwealth Games as well as the 2012 Olympics.

With a culture shock expected as the girl from Limpopo (Marble Hall) travels beyond the Great Wall and behind the Bamboo Curtain, we offer Nici a bit of advice from those here at Tuks hockey:

- Moenie die water drink nie;

- Vat jou eie biltong saam;

- En kom asb tog net veilig terug.

We are all very proud of Nici as her addition now sees Tuks hockey boasting 4 ladies in the national squad.
