All in all AmaTuks had an impressive first round.
“It was not easy to gain momentum quickly without losing sight of the season’s goal,” said the captain, Joseph Mthombeni who was sidelined due to injury.
AmaTuks were fortunate in that their opponents failed to convert a penalty in the dying minutes.
“It was our lucky day. We missed too many chances, but so did they as the missed penalty was a golden opportunity to secure victory,” said Steve Barker, Head Coach.
Come Friday night AmaTuks will be facing Jomo Cosmos, a result that will secure top spot on the log. Coming from a loss against them in the first round, AmaTuks are more determined to turn the tables this time around.
“Basic errors cost us during the 1st leg fixture which was away. Friday will be different as we will home advantage” said Barker.
Friday’s game start at 19:30 at the ABSA Tuks Stadium.
TuksFootball urge all supporters to fill the stadium.
“It will be great if we could also outnumber opponents with our support” said Kenneth Neluvhalani, Club Manager.
