Vanessa Siakam scored all three of Tuks’ goals, lamenting her as the team’s top goal scorer. All four goals were scored in the first half and although the second was as action packed as the first, it failed to produce any goals. The return of senior defender Simphiwe Dludlu spurred the team on as she got the assist for two of the three goals.
Experienced campaigner Keneilwe “Maestro” Mathibela, who is in Stellenbosch for a National Team training camp, was not available for the match. She received the call up after a two year absence due to an eye injury.
The team will have a full strength team in their home match against Croesus, which kicks off at 15h00 at the University of Pretoria Sport Campus, Football Field B.
The Ladies' teams are on a steady incline after a shaky start to the season. The Sasol team is still reeling in 7th position on 23 points, tied with Swallows but behind on goal difference; whilst the Absa team is second on the log after dropping points against Dlala Ntombazana Garankua last week.
