This year the participating teams’ names were drawn from a hat. It worked out that if the two Tuks teams, proudly sponsored by Assupol would not necessarily meet in the semi-finals. There was everything to play for as we knew that we had enough depth and quality in both our teams to ensure a historic 'All Tuks' final.

On Sunday 14 March this dream came true – Tuks 1 vs. Tuks 2 at Super Sport Park. It was an exciting day as most of the Tuks players have not played on “The Park” before.

Tuks 1 won the toss and decided to bowl first. The pitch was a classical Super Sport Park one with lots of runs on offer. Tuks 2 batted really well until a typical Highveld storm washed away any chance of cricket. When the rain came down Tuks 2 was 214/2 after 39 overs with Ernie Kemm 97 not out.

The game had all the ingredients to be a real show down between two quality Tuks teams.

In the end the trophy was shared, not the best result but at least the silverware will be on show at the TuksCricket Clubhouse till next year.
