During these events the TuksSwimmers will be aiming to continue from where they left off in December 2009 with the Northern Tigers Swimming provincial championships, where all the swimmers stepped up to the plate and truly outshone themselves and made the club proud.

The TuksSwimming club members will be competing in the following events over the next period of time:

• Level 3 Age Group Nationals (East London) 12th – 16th March 2010

• Level 2 Regional Competition (Germiston) 19th – 22nd March 2010

• Level 1 Regional Competition (Sasolburg) 27th – 29th March 2010

• SA Senior Nationals & Youth Nationals (Durban) 12th – 17th April 2010

What is important about these events is that we will see our top swimmers shaping up against the best age groupers and senior swimmers in South Africa as they look to improve on their performances, swim personal best times and for some to qualify for the Youth Olympics in Singapore and the Commonwealth Games both later this year. Many of our swimmers from the TuksSwimming Academy, based at the HPC will also be competing in these events.

These competitions form the pinnacle of the swimming season and the performances of our swimmers become a key indicator of the success of our programs and the coaching that takes place within our program. Here’s wishing our swimmers all the best. Go TUKS!!!
