Expert, Roland Schoeman scooped the 50m butterfly title with a fast and golden time of 23.98, ahead of Rafael Munoz from Spain in second with 24.08 and Nikita Konovalov from Russia in third with 24.13. 

Gerhard Zandberg claimed bronze for in the 50m backstroke as he clocked a time of 25.50 behind Britain’s Liam Tancock (25.35) and Japan’s Junya Koga (25.19).

For the ladies, Karen Prinsloo came in at 8^th in the 50m backstroke with 29.36 while Vanessa Mohr swam to a 5^th place in the 50m butterfly with a time of 27.10.
