All eyes will be on the new wunderkind of TuksAthletics, 18 year old Caster Semenya. She ran the fourth fastest time ever for a South African woman in the 800m in Germiston 10 days ago in when she clocked a time of 2:00.58 minutes.
Other athletes worth watching will be Tsholofelo Thipe (100m), Isabel le Roux (200m), Estie Wittstock (400m), Elizna Naude (discus) and Janice Josephs (long jump0. All of the won medals at the SA senior championships.
It may be a women meeting, but men will have the last say when Tuks’ 400m star Pieter Smith get his last chance to on home soil qualify for the World Championships.
