On June 5 Estie ended fourth in Strasbourg (52.81) after taking the bronze on June 3 in Rehlingen.
Estie’s next meeting is on June 13 in Lugano, Switzerland.
• In the meantime top Tuks and SA 400 meter hurdler LJ van Zyl will not start as a favourite in a meeting on Monday, 8 June in the Czech capital, Prague.
According to the IAAF website European champion Periklis Iakovakis of Greece and former Olympic medallist and Jamaican veteran Danny McFarlane are two big favourites.
• At the recent Southern Region senior championships in Gaborone, Botswana Tuks’ sprinter Hannes Dreyer won both the 100 (10.61) and 200 (21.52).
Two other Tuks athletes also struck gold: Caster Semenya in the 800 (2:00.97) and Marriam Thole in the 5000 (16:37.23). Marriam wil represent Malawi at the world championships.
