A huge honour was bestowed upon us, the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health of Pretoria, with the election of our head, Professor RJ Green, as the president of the College of Paediatricians at the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA). Congratulations prof Green and good luck with this enormous task at hand!
Some registrars light-heartedly voiced their hopes of a more “eco-friendly” approach to their examinations at the CMSA with prof Green at the steer.
In his acceptance speech he thanked the outgoing President, Prof Haroon Salojee, for the huge task that he has performed.
