Guest lecture by leading expert on tinnitus and hearing aids

This special lecture, hosted on 19 October, was sponsored by Widex and was open to practising audiologists and to students from the Department of Communication Pathology. Prof Sweetow is the director of Audiology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. He specializes in the treatment Tinnitus, the treatment of hearing loss and hearing aids and the development of aural rehabilitation procedures for adults and children. His research involves computerized training programs, with an emphasis on neural plasticity and auditory recognizing principles.
