Posted on August 05, 2009

According to Horak, learners will be exposed to various science fascinations such as the Mapungubwe Museum, camera obscura, science shows, plays, TRAC labs, Junior Tukkies and career guidance. Activities will be tailor made for high school and primary school learners on both the Hatfield and Mamelodi Campus. A special outreach programme is also organised for Grade 0 learners in six different schools around the campus to view an African dinosaur puppet show.

“The children are an important part of our present and future. It is important to present science to them in a practical, hands-on and captivating way that they can understand. We strive to not only create awareness during this week, but continuously throughout the year,” concludes Ms Horak.
