Education is a basic socio-economic right, but the continent’s governments fail to make it accessible to all. There is therefore a critical need to bridge the gap between the right to education in theory and in practice.

A key pillar to realising the right to education is the Right to Information. How important is this right? How much do citizens and leaders appreciate the value of information as a leverage to realising other rights?

These are the issues that need to be addressed on a practical level.
