The UP Postgraduate Bursaries for curent and prospective students is a nomintain process done at Faculty level, which is administered by the Postgraduate Scholarship Office within the Dept of Research and Innovation.

There is limited funding for postgraduate bursaries, so not all students can be nominated for the Master or Doctoral buraries by the faculty.  Each faculty is granted a budget from where Honour, Master and Doctoral awards are finalised by the Postgraduate Scholarship Office.
