Rugby in South Africa: A History 1861-1988 by Paul Dobson

This book is more than just history of South African Rugby. It is an attempt to record the human story of rugby football from its beginnings to 1988, most of it has been played in South Africa. It seeks to record many of the great personalities, matches, and stories of the past hundred years and more on the playing fields of South Africa and abroad, starting with the origins of the game abroad and in South Africa. It records more than just international matches.
