The Special Collections Book of the Week this week is:

#FeesMustFall and Its Aftermath by Thierry M Luescher et al.

This is a book of the experiences of violence and wellbeing of #feesmustfall student activists from a range of South African universities. The book tells their experiences through over 100 photos, which the former activists submitted. It is also a book of some of the sacrifices that the #feesmustfall student generation made for the benefit of many poor and working-class students to be able to access South Africa’s universities. The book is a truly collaborative achievement, designed to inform, create awareness and advocate for greater equity, democracy and social justice.
