Dear UP community,

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our colleagues, Mr Moses Makaba on 2022-09-18. Mr Makaba was a Security Officer in the Department of Security Services since May 2016.  

Prior to that, he worked for Fidelity Security Services at the University of Pretoria from 2013 – 2016. 

A memorial service will be held for Mr Makaba on Saturday 2022-09-24, at Legonaneng Village, Nebo, Limpopo Province.  The full service starts at 06:00 and then the cortège will proceed to the cemetery at 07:30.

Our deepest sympathy goes to his family, colleagues and friends.
