Dear colleagues,

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our colleagues, Mr Patrick Jappie Aphane on 2022-08-25. Mr Aphane was a Campus Manager in the Department of Security Services since May 2016.  

Mr Aphane worked for Fidelity Security Services at the University of Pretoria from 2008 – 2016. He is survived by his wife, two children and five siblings.

Our deepest sympathy goes to his family, colleagues and friends.

A memorial service was held for Mr Aphane on 2022-08-28 in Mpumalanga.  This department is currently engaging with the family to host a memorial service, and the details will be disseminated once received.
