The Flexible Futures 2021 Virtual Conference promises to let attendees reimagine the teaching future

The keynote speaker, Prof Mariët Westermann, vice-chancellor and chief executive of New York University Abu Dhabi, will focus on reimagining teaching and learning in higher education. There will be stimulating panel discussions to unpack the peer advising practice and a discussion on enhancing teaching and learning by analysing student feedback.
 
Prof Emma Ruttkamp-Bloem, head of the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities at the University of Pretoria, will open the discussion on reimagining the Ethical Use of AI Technology to Support Teaching and Learning which will be followed by a presentation by Joe Pringle of Amazon Web Services regarding the Practical applications of AI and Machine Learning.
 
Krista Greear, Blackboard Senior Accessibility Strategist will share A Personalized Approach to Engaging with Course Content: Automating UDL Principles with Blackboard Ally’s Alternative Formats and Alesta Nortje from the Central University of Technology will represent Cengage to reimagine teaching and learning to improve students’ ready for work and employability competencies.
