The UP Special Collections Book of the Week for 8 March 2020 is available for purchase!
The ordinary edition sells for R400.00 and the luxury edition for R600.00. All proceeds go to the MBA bursary fund which is administered by The University of Pretoria. A bursary is given annually from the fund to a GIBS MBA student. The book is also for sale at the GIBS book store.
In Pioneering the MBA in South Africa, the reader is provided with a historical timeline of milestones of the University of Pretoria’s Graduate School of Management. The history of the University’s graduate School of Management is captured within the broader UP context. Most of the chapters reflect the terms, doings, difficulties and innovations of the nine directors, their staff and students. The University’s thinking in establishing a more market-oriented business school from 2000 to be known as the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), is also included.
