UP staff and students are warned against an SMS doing the rounds and prompting them to contact Mrs Patricia Knewl. Responding to this message will trigger a scam message requesting you to assist with distribution of a huge inheritance. This is an advanced fee scam.

Note that this name and other fake identities have been used in numerous similar SMS and email scams globally. Do not respond or provide any personal details to unsolicited messages from unknown people or numbers.
