Dikeledi Moche, Senior Management Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (NAS), was announced as a Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa semi-finalist for 2020.
Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa is a programme created for married women who would ordinarily not have a platform to compete and be ambassadors for South Africa on a global scale.
Moche competed with other married women from all over South Africa in a national live casting at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre before being named a semi-finalist. “Entering Mrs South Africa has always been my dream. As a Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa 2020 semi-finalist, my journey starts now, and I believe that with my life story, I will inspire other women to dream big no matter their circumstances. I am so excited to be taking this professional journey with other women, empowering each other and embracing the spirit of ubuntu,” she says.
Moche holds BA and honours degrees in African Languages from the University of Pretoria. "We are delighted to have such an empowered colleague, and hope other female colleagues will follow suit and pursue their passion," says Jessika Samuels, Acting NAS Faculty Manager.
The finalists for Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa will be announced at an annual charity ball on 26 June at Emperors Palace in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng.
