You are invited to a public lecture and discussion on the topic “Will climate change action enhance or undermine the 2030 Agenda and national developmental objectives in South Africa?”. The lecture and discussion will take place at Future Africa on UP’s Hillcrest Campus on 28 May 2019.
The discussion is aimed at bringing awareness to the relevance of SDG 13 within the broader 2030
Agenda framework and the form of climate change action being taken by various groups within
South Africa.
Professor Francois Engelbrecht (University of the Witwatersrand) will deliver the keynote address. He is an eminent expert in climate model development and will share insights on African climate change futures.
