We are looking for University of Pretoria students who are interested in joining the Malaria Awareness Programme (MAP) for our research and the implementation of our programme in Limpopo and Mpumalanga from June to August 2017. The student researchers who are chosen will work alongside the coordinators to implement the programme and assist in the research/evaluation process. They will also contribute towards enhancing the health knowledge of the participants, creating a strong bond with the community and further increasing the sustainability of the programme.

MAP is a project of One Sun Health (OSH), a non-profit organisation that aims to promote sustainable, locally driven solutions to public health challenges through community health education and social entrepreneurship initiatives. MAP involves an intensive training programme for community health workers, followed by a multi-week series of education workshops, which will be presented at the homes of traditional leaders in various villages. MAP falls under the ambit of the University of Pretoria Institute for Sustainable Malaria Control (UP ISMC).
