Youth Day invitation: Come and share Shaun Bartlett's personal journey!

In celebration of Youth Day the Department of Library Services cordially invites all students to attend an inspiring talk by Shaun Bartlett.

Date: Tuesday, 17 May 2016

Time: 13:00 – 14:30

Venue: Auditorium, Level 3, Merensky 2 Library, Hatfield Campus

Presenter: Shaun Bartlett

More information: Shaun Bartlett is a retired Bafana Bafana striker who is currently South Africa's 2nd all-time leading scorer with 28 goals in 74 appearances, including goals scored in the Bafana win of the1996 African Nations Cup and two goals scored in the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Currently he is the head coach for Amatuks in the PSL. In celebration of Youth Day he will tell about his personal journey in overcoming the many challenges he faced in his youth, growing up in the notorious drug and gang torn suburb, Cape Flats, reaching the heights of playing pro - football in the USA, English Premier League and the World Cup. This is a must attend event to hear from a national icon who will also be giving advice to the youth of South Africa. The audience will be allowed to ask Shaun questions after the talk.
